Facebook Follies- Journal Entry #4
After watching the Documentary "Facebook Follies" I learned that you should be careful on what you post on the internet. Also, you should always check the privacy box on Facebook before you post something because if you make it public it could create a very big riot. The part I liked best was when they talked about the burglary and how the burglar who broke in stole many things including the boys laptop. He posted a picture on the boys Facebook which was logged in on the laptop and posted a picture of what he stole then, he logged onto his own Facebook account on the laptop that he stole so the police were able to track him down. I liked this part the best because nothing like this ever happens around Blackville so it was very interesting to me. I found it very shocking how people would do so much to a person through the internet just to bring them down for certain reasons. I would like to know more about the case of the girl who had depression who took time off work to clear her mind then went on a trip. Pictures of her on her trip were posted on Facebook and her work place found out about her going on her trip. I would like to know what happened after they found out! Other observations I made were that you can really talk to anyone from anywhere on the Internet if you want and the Internet is an easy way to make or break relationships.
