Canon PowerShot G7 X

         I would like to have a camera because I enjoy taking pictures of the things I do to have as memories. I would also like to have a camera because you would not have to worry about losing your photos because they would be saved on a memory card, where if they were on your phone if they get deleted by accident, you cannot get them back.
        The camera I have chosen is the "Canon PowerShot G7 X." This camera has many features. Some of these features are excellent photo quality for its class, a fine lens, and relatively shooting design.Here is the link to where I found my information.
         Here is a link to the review I found. In the review the key points which helped to make my decisions on buying the camera were that the camera is touch screen. I like this feature because touch screen is faster for me to use. Another feature is the camera has a bright lens, which makes the photos look nicer and I would like a camera that takes very good quality photos.
        On amazon the Canon PowerShot G7 X is 669 dollars. At Staples the camera is 149.52 dollars, and on Best Buy the camera is 749.99 dollars. I would buy my camera from Staples because Staples is a a efficient and reliable store and it is the cheapest that the camera is being sold.

• We focused on the trees. 
• We brightened the whole picture.

       Point of View

• First cropped the picture.
• Then we focused it on the centre.
• We blurred out the rest.
• We added a border.
• We added a vintage filter. 

We used effects like brightening the photo to make it look more lively and stand out. We also blurred out the background and focused on the main object that was in the picture to make it stand out. We added a vintage filter to each photo to give it an older look.

Camera Techniques

Rule of Thirds

I think this camera technique is important because many people like to take pictures in different ways and with rule of thirds there is three different ways you can take just one picture. Two things that i learned are that on the television one of the techniques they use is rule of thirds and you have to tilt the camera to get the angle that you want. The part that I liked best was when he showed us how to move the thing your taking a picture of, from the middle to the side to make it look better. What I found confusing was how you can take the picture in so many different ways and how you have to hold the camera to do that. I would like to know more about the lighting you need to get these pictures to look better or if the lighting even matters.


Fill the Frame

I think this camera technique is important because if you want to know how to take a picture up close you need to use fill the frame. Two things I learned were the picture looks nicer if you take the background out, but if it's a pretty background you should leave the background and use a different technique. The part that i liked best was when they showed me how to fill the frame. I found it confusing how to actually take the picture. I would like to know more about  lighting you need to get these pictures to look better or if the lighting even matters.


Framing 


Framing is the easiest technique to use. Framing makes a photo look more professional. What I found confusing was how to take the actual picture.


Point of View

This technique is important because you can take pictures at many different points. I like this technique because you can take a simple pictures and take it so many different ways.


Level Horizon

This camera technique is important because you can completely change the point of view of the camera. It makes the picture look better when it is level.
