Cyberbullying

Different roles that people play in cyber bullying are the target and that is who is being bullied. Then there is the bully and they are the person who is harassing the target. There is also the bystanders who see the bullying going on.Online bullying can escalate when someone takes things too far by saying things and the target kills them self. It is important to be an upstander rather than a bystander because instead of seeing it and not doing anything, you see the bullying going on and actually say or do something about it. Upstanders can help deescalate bullying by being a friend to the target and helping the target get through it all.

Journal Entry #7

Two things I watched from the documentary are 13 million Canadians use Facebook and 32 million people had a Blackberry phone at the time. The part I liked best was when they told the story of the bus driver who was texting and driving and crashed his bus. No one was hurt, but the handicaps did not know what was happening. I find it shocking that people actually get treatment for being addicted to technology. I would like to know more about the plane that flew past it's destination. Other observations I made were the more you invest in technology, the less productive you are and I also cannot multi-task.

Inside the Dark Web - Journal Entry #6

After watching this documentary, I learned that you can find out anything about anyone on the Internet. I also learned that if your wifi is on, you can be tracked. the part I liked best was the house that did everything on its own, just by being electrically programmed with a smart phone or tablet. I find it surprising how nothing on the Internet that was once anonymous, stays anonymous. I would like to know more about the girl who leaked the documents and put people and the government in danger. I would also like to know more about the website "Silk Road" that sells drugs and anonymously moves money between 2 people. Other observations I made were that everyone can collect data on what they are concerned with and nothing on the Internet is ever private.
