I think the graphic novel taught a very good lesson. It teaches you how to be safe on the internet, like protecting you things and thinking before you post something. We give away too much personal information on the internet without even knowing. If we are not careful we may end up in a racket like the people in the graphic novel. After reading this I am going to try and be more careful in the internet by checking the privacy box so only certain people can see it and I will try not to post as much of my personal information on there because it seems like people who do not know you, but have seen you online actually do know you because of the amount of things we share and post.
Everyday Privacy
Things in the article that I already knew were that even if you delete a text it can still be found and tracked. I also already knew that a system, like a debit machine, records the details of your transactions. Things that surprised me in this article were that no matter where we are someone really is always watching. I was also surprised about how much internet we use and how much things we post to the social network to make our social lives interesting.

Reflections on my Digital Life
Activity 2- Digital Media
I was very surprised with how wrong my answers were on the quiz. Some things I thought would have a very high percentage, had a very low one. The statistics I learned compare with the way I use digital media because I sleep with my cell phone on my bed and the statistic for that was four out of five, which means many other kids do too. The digital media I use the most is Instagram because I find it very fun and amusing. The digital media I use the least is Facebook because I find over the years it has been getting even more boring and annoying.
Activity 5- The Digital World
An upside for me living in a digital world is that I can find an answer to anything I am wondering. A downside for me living in a digital world is that while me and my friends hangout we spend more time on our phones than actually talking and hanging out. For my relationships with others the Internet is great because I can contact my relatives that live far away. Society is way too addicted to the digital media and we rely on it too much. I connect with many of my family and friends through digital media because it is easier. I do not create many things on digital media besides accounts to Social websites.

Mr. Savoy's Presentation- Journal Entry #5
Yesterday, Mr. Savoy came to talk to my class about the Internet. He told us many things. Some good about the internet, but some bad. Things that I found interesting from the presentation were how the Internet is always changing, in a few years we may never use Facebook and some people will not even know what Facebook is. Someone is always watching you. No matter what you do on the internet someone is monitoring you. We need to be in control. If we want to use the Internet we need to be responsible and remember things like our passwords and to keep our privacy as private as you can. If you want you can find out anything about anyone just on the internet. Just by going on someone's Facebook profile I can find out their birthday, likes, dislikes, relationship status, and mutual friends that they have with me. On the internet cyber bullying can happen very easily. You may even not think you are bullying, but that comment you made on someone's post might have been offensive. Always remember to be respectful, responsible, and reliable on the Internet.
"Ask.fm" Owners Considered Shutting Down Site Over Cyber Bullying Concerns
This article talks how there were concerns with shutting down the "Ask.fm" site due to cyber bullying. "Ask.fm" has been linked to many teen suicides over the past year and the new owners were considering to shut it down due to the amount of bullying. The new owners have decided to keep the site, but vow to crack down on the cyber bullying to make itself a safe site for users. In 2013, a 14- year old Leicesershire, England, girl died due to cyber bullying which was happening for several months anonymously through "Ask." I feel that they should just shut the site down now because it is no longer safe and fun, it is making people feel awful about themselves and leading to too many dangerous things like suicide and depression.

Facebook Follies- Journal Entry #4
After watching the Documentary "Facebook Follies" I learned that you should be careful on what you post on the internet. Also, you should always check the privacy box on Facebook before you post something because if you make it public it could create a very big riot. The part I liked best was when they talked about the burglary and how the burglar who broke in stole many things including the boys laptop. He posted a picture on the boys Facebook which was logged in on the laptop and posted a picture of what he stole then, he logged onto his own Facebook account on the laptop that he stole so the police were able to track him down. I liked this part the best because nothing like this ever happens around Blackville so it was very interesting to me. I found it very shocking how people would do so much to a person through the internet just to bring them down for certain reasons. I would like to know more about the case of the girl who had depression who took time off work to clear her mind then went on a trip. Pictures of her on her trip were posted on Facebook and her work place found out about her going on her trip. I would like to know what happened after they found out! Other observations I made were that you can really talk to anyone from anywhere on the Internet if you want and the Internet is an easy way to make or break relationships.

Journal Entry #3 Sploder and Gaming
No, I do not consider my self a gamer because I do not have any games on my phone and I do not enjoy playing video games for a long period of time. I own a Wii and an Iphone. I use to play Just Dance and Mario Kart on my Wii but now I just use it for Netflix. On my phone I do not have any games because I mostly use it for texting and the social media. My favourite games to play a phone is "Piano Tiles." On a Wii I love to play "Mario Kart" or "Just Dance." I liked using Sploder because you did not have to save your work, once you logged out it would automatically save. This is good because I always forget to save my work. I found it confusing at first on how to make a game because I am not good with computers, but once I got the hang of it I found it very fun and easy to use. No, I do not think game creation is something I could see myself doing because even though it was fun to make a game I would not want to make any more than one.
